A list of law school graduates who will receive the 2019 Pulitzer Prize in economics was announced on Monday by Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz.
The law degree category is known as the “Nobel in economics”, with more than 20 Nobel laureates including Nobel Laureate and former US President Bill Clinton, US President Barack Obama, Nobel Prize winner and Nobel Peace Prize winner Joseph Stilwell, and US President Donald Trump.
The Nobel Prize winners who will win this year’s Nobel Peace prize include former US Vice President Joe Biden, former President Donald Trumps Vice President Mike Pence, former US Senator Joe Manchin and former Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India.
Stiglitz, who was awarded the Nobel Peace laureate award in 2002, said the prize would be given to an economist who has made an “extraordinary contribution” to public policy and to the field of economics.
Stilwell said that Stiglits contributions to the world of economics are “inspirational” and that he was “proud” to be part of this year.
“I’m really proud of the fact that I’m being recognized for my work and the extraordinary contribution that I’ve made to this field,” he said.
“To receive this Nobel Peace award I have to have been an extraordinary and extraordinary contribution to a field that has been largely ignored and marginalized.”
My contribution is in part because I have helped shape a new era of economics in the 21st century.
“Stiglits work has been credited with transforming economics from a science of market theory into a field of study that can help shape the world economy, with him becoming a pioneer in the field and having led research that has shaped the global climate and public health.
The new list includes more than 50 economists, including Nobel laureate Nobel Laureates George Stigler, Paul Krugman and Martin Feldstein.
In the category of economics, Nobel Laureating economist Paul Krugman was given the prize for “economics of the future”, a category that has traditionally been given to a member of the Nobel Prize committee.
The US president was awarded an honorary Nobel Peace laureate medal, the second time in two years that the US has awarded a peace prize to a foreign leader.
The winners of the economics category will be announced at the Nobel lecture hall on Tuesday, March 10.
